    I believe this to be a second pattern brodie helmet. HS 404 which is the maker mark for Hadfield Sheffield. It has the split pin rivets holding the chin strap in place and the over lapping rim which is common to British helmets of this period. The helmet is not magnetic so it is not likely to be an early model. 51 more helmets to post lol
