any idea on Value?
It looks like a rimless helmet. Manufacturer was Firth and sons. A nice part .
Rimless? The early Brodies didn't have rims.
Second question....magnetic steel or non-mag? That would help date it. Check websites.
No liner brings down the price, of course, nor do I see good paint.
However, a fairly complete Mark 1 would sell in the $200-$250 range, so $40 may not be unreasonable. I'd make a counter-offer of rather less, but them I'm poor (and tight-fisted).
Cheers,
Pat
I can't see a rim.The chinstrap is the same like MK1 1916 . The shell is earlier.
Hi,
The first Brodie rimless helmet was the "A" pattern of which this helmet look like, the mk1 was the next with the rim attached, you will also find the "A" Patt has a higher crown than the mk1.
$ 40.00, isnt bad but i would try to knock him down a bit as it is only a shell.

I like it......
