Exceptional and attributed Group rare to find these days. The tunic is in what looks like undamaged condition. I suspect this was his best jacket and obviously well stored post WW1 as so many others fall victim to moths.

Many Apologies due to me being away quite often during the year i didn't come back to this thread and many thanks for all your kind words and opinions.

The tunic is most certainly his Best walking out Tunic , since the original posting i now know that he was wounded at the Somme on 16/9/1916 , this must have been during the attack of 9 DLI on the Starfish line and Prue trench North East of High Wood. At this time he held the rank of Captain.

I also have his address and the school that he attended pre war.

Just an outstanding group, and the tunic condition is a real plus. I love those cuff rank tunics, but they seem harder & harder to find, and then the price takes your breath away.
    Congratulations on a great find.
