    Default WW1 French/Brit photos

I have been forwarded these as scans by a person I have bought WW2 postcards from and thought I would share them. Whilst WW1 is really outside my intended scope, I think these are very interesting. I have tried to read the caption under the French officer pic, and it may be Clemenceau??

I do confirm Clemenceau witv his typical "melting" hat....
Your pics are frightening and make me think of the fate of my great granfather whose body never been recovered around the mount Kemmel,in April 1918...
