WW1 French map case?

    Although i have no idea which manufacturer's logo that is, the case looks like a typical ww1 officer's private purchase map case. Taking the provenance into account, I see no reason why it shouldn't be a French piece. I have a few British ones which are very similar, and most likely, many British officer's cases were purchased in France anyway.
