    Roger thanks for posting , a superb lot , i'm an ex gunner and my grandfather was in the RGA in WW1 so it'd very interesting for me !!
    The gates of hell were opened and we accepted the invitation to enter" 26/880 Lance Sgt, Edward Dyke. 26th Bn Northumberland Fusiliers , ( 3rd Tyneside Irish )

ID:	224612[ATTACH=CONFIG]224611[/ATTACH Nice tunic and cap 133, I'm looking for a seated mannequin to recreate the photograph,I found a chinstrap and button so the caps upto scratch now my mans brother was RFA I have both brothers medals now.When i bought this lot of his grandaughter amongst his items was this 18 ct gold sweetheart in it's original case.

    Very nice to find person identified WW1 kit , and not to an officer -has to be extremely rare . The Trench cap is great , it seems to be in a finer grade wool like the riding breeches ? I know that there were materials used other than issue serge.
