WW1 Special Constable's medal

Bought this nice medal this week, it came with a Norfolk specials badge, the recipients name was an unusual one so a search of the census records was able to confirm he was a butcher from Norwich age 45 in 1911 so the badge ties in, rather sadly in the 1901 census he is listed with his wife and 4 children, but in 1911 3 of his children had passed away. A nice medal to own but such a sad story to go with it.
