Today I bring you another interesting antique store find.

I found what I think is a U.S. WW1 era campaign hat. It’s in a salty condition, but I’m not complaining as I only paid $12 for it. The band inside is long gone, and there is an interesting badge on the front. It appears to be a scorpion on top of a large shell. Any ideas on what the badge may be?

As always I greatly appreciate any and all comments.

    Best regards- Jarret

    Thanks map!

At first I thought this was just some type of scout masters hat, and I actually thought about leaving this behind! I found it at the bottom of an old bucket in an antique shop. I was surprised it hadn't been scooped up yet. There were multiple militaria booths at that shop, and their prices were well over retail. You would think those militaria vendors would look at the other booths in the shop! I'm in shock that I was able to get this 100+ year old hat for $12

Jarret, that's a really good pick up for what you paid for it, congrats.
