WWI US 89th Div. 314 Sanitary Train Helmet

Hey Guys,
This may not be the correct section for this, and if not please feel free to move it.

Now on to the helmet. I was given this helmet by my grandmother who had been offered it by a co-worker. He said hey your grandson likes military stuff right? Well she asked if I wanted an old army helmet and this is what showed up. My problem is I don't know the best way to preserve it, specifically the remains of the liner. Hope you like it.
