    Dean and Tom, Thanks so much for the extra information. It is nice to be able to add a little more history to the items we own. While none of these men served in a storied unit, they did serve and are worth remembering!

    Thanks for all the comments. There are a lot more variations and countries to be collected, but some will be far out of most peoples reach. If I remember correctly, Siam is by far the rarest of the country awarded medals, having only issued a few hundred. One has to be really careful as there are reproductions and restrikes for all of them. It is fun to keep an eye out for the originals and hope to add a few more before I am done.

    That's a great collection !, I have a few british ones to local men and regiments. these are the one's that mean the most in my collection they are my grandfather's pair and his dog tags and cap badge, the signet ring was grandfather's and then passed WWI victory medal collectionto my dad during WW2.
