Description: M42 Shell. Heer, I believe. Bought at a flea market in Kent, England two years ago with the intention of refashioning a helmet from scratch.
Surface rust to inside of helmet. small patch of rust on crown of helmet. Most if not all of these patches can be removed with a little effeort. Otherwise beautiful patina all round. Field Grey paint visible in places.
Decal: SD approx 60 - 70% present - see photos.
Liner Marking stamps read: D246 & NC64, although this latter marking is not too clear.
