This G.S.W. 1942 AP Mk I Brodie helmet with original 'AFS Toronto' markings was purchased from a surplus store in southern Ontario, Canada in the mid 1970s. Although I do no know where they obtained this particular item, they stocked a lot of war surplus items that they purchased from Crown Assets Disposal Corporation - the Canadian government's surplus division.
