Description: A cap constructed of blueish-gray wool, with Luftwaffe eagle patch in silvery/grey cotton threads, mounted on matching blue/grey woolen base, and an embroidered, national tri-colour cockade in black, white, and red rayon threads. The interior is fully lined in blue/grey rayon, maker marked "G.A.Hoffmann / Berlin SW. 29", date stamped "1939" and size stamped "56" in black ink. G.A.Hoffmann of Berlin is known for their fine quality manufacture Panzer Overseas Caps. Shows obvious signs of wear and has several visible holes. Shipping price depends on destination.

Description: This summer cap is constructed of cotton twill with red rayon piping. The red piping was torn and revealed a group of 5 blue threads. One side of the cap is in excellent condition, the other has slight tissue damage. The length of the cap is 26 cm, inside there is a layer of leather and the letterings WN PM & TN. HJ diamond to the front edge. Overall, very good vintage condition with signs of wear commensurate with age. Shipping price depends on destination.

Back in January I posted about this cap, along with a German Dagger (for reference the forum post is located <a href="classifieds/forum/cloth-headgear-3-reich/what-do-i-have-here-1-a-252497/" target="_blank">HERE</a>). Through the help of the forum, and subsequent information I was able to dig up I learned that this is a German Artillery Officer's cap (M38 Feldmütze), in near perfect, if not perfect, condition. The cap is an item that my grandfather traded artillery items for after the war, so my brother and I are ok to part with it after discussing it with my family... we are keeping the dagger in the family. The wool, color, stitching and leather are all in excellent shape. The size marked is 55 as seen in the photographs. I did not know much about this item before posting, so if there are any other angles you would like photographed I will be happy to supply those. Feel free to contact with any questions.
