Very interesting helmet made by Hungary in WWII. The chin strap is stamped 1944, the manufacturer's stamp can still be seen in the helmet bell. These blue-grey helmets are also known as Finnish helmets, as they were used extensively from 1941 to 1944 in the so-called Continuation War.

Originally it is a copy of the German M35 helmet. Both have ventilation holes and the classic rolled edge. But the rivet positions are slightly different. In addition, the Hungarian model has a metal bracket riveted to the rear brim. This was used to attach the helmet to the backpack when marching.
After the war, the helmet was most likely used by civil defense. You can still see a hint of a cross on the helmet.

Overall a very interesting piece, also for collectors of German steel helmets.
