1939 Eisernes Kreuz 1. Klasse - Funcke & Bruninghaus, Lüdenscheld

I recently acquired this beautiful Eisernes Kreuz 1. Klasse at an auction. Probably paid a little too much for it, but that doesn't matter. I personally think it is very beautiful. With box and document.

The document is unfortunately quite weathered, but still reasonably readable. It is assigned to "Oberfeltwebel (?) Horst Riess, 6. Komp Fallschirmjäger Regiment".

The cross is marked "L / 56" Funcke & Bruninghaus, Lüdenscheld.

I don't know why they are all on their side. The are straight on my computer.

That is a lovely frosted example you have added to your collection, congrats!
I only have a battered, worn, unmarked, vaulted, screw back, example in my collection.
