    Another addition to my spange collection.
    This zinc example does not retain a lot of the silver frosting, but the condition is good.
    Later examples these are known to have a die flaw on the top of the eagle's beak. Obviously this one was made before the die flaw developed.
    The quality of these late war examples from this maker leave a bit to be desired.

    That's a good looking bird.
    Maybe I don't hang out in the TR forums enough but I don't see very many
    S-L 1st class spangen posted very often.
