Great find Ralph!
It's a shame about the screw plate but I don't think I have ever seen one of these with the plate present. Should it be the "clam shell" type?
Regards
Mark
"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing he cares more about than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature with no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."
Thanks Mark!
I don't think it would be a clam shell, from the finish on the reverse, I believe it would be more like some of the EK I screw backs.
A clam shell would have been larger than the spange, more like a Deumer.
I am curious also, I will do a little searching when I have the time.
Ralph.
