The first one is a Deumer, the second is looking like a Brehmer.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
Nice crosses Stefan, particularly the Deumer !

Cheers Nick.
The first one, the Deumer was awarded to Oberleutnant (Wilhelm) Schöttle serving with Flak Regiment 25 (some eagle eyes may have spotted this one for sale).
Looks like he was originally a serving Romanian and then served on the Eastern Front and Sudetenland with the Flak Regiment.
There is also a Commandant Wilhelm Schöttle SS Oberleutnant 11, might be the same person?
Picture removed as not the same person.
Where are you buying it from Stefan? Is the provenance from the seller?

Always a shame to see a grouping split up but I guess it's nothing new. All of our pieces were once a grouping at some point.
At least his EK2 went to a good home. Is Klaus able to supply you with any photocopies of documents to keep the provenance with the medal?

Can anyone confirm that the second is a Brehmer. Although I'm happy with Adrian's view and know it's difficult, sometimes to tell a maker.
Plus going back to Oberleutnant (Wilhelm) Schöttle.
If he was indeed promoted to Commandant Wilhelm Schöttle SS Oberleutnant 11 with a Panzer division in Kampfgruppe Normandy...
stupid question, but am I correct in thinking that he was an SS officer? if so, a Commandant or Oberleutnant or both?
