    Default antique shop EK II

Was at a local shop and the owner had this hidden behind the counter. I just bought my first one and I think he is lonely. Thinking of buying this one but could not find a maker to match the # on the ring. He is asking 75 US. also he told me he polished it up because it was looking dirty. Thanks for any help Gary

    Hi Gary

It doesnt look good to me, the frame looks too deep and the maker mark is spurious !

There you go Gary, Adrians assessment would be good enough for me. The price is certainly good

    My thoughts exactly.

I have seen (not in person, but on-line) other 24's with extra marks on the ring, one being WR 24 (or WB 24), but I believe that they are spurious marks. One of them was an incused relief mark while the other was a direct stamping - different fonts used also.

Aside from the questionable marking and the fact that it was polished, the OP's cross looks good to me.

I would pay $75 for this cross, I have several with the extra mark on the suspension ring but none with the extra mark on the ribbon ring. A nice cross for a nice price.
