Nothing wrong with it at all, perfectly original Schinkel EK2 and as Robert says made by Deumer.
Have a search on the forum and you will see many others to compare to.

Hopefully you can point him/her in this direction and they can use the forum to educate themselves. It may be that that person has fakes in their collection and if they aren't so good at spotting original pieces, they might've passed on perfectly good original items.
Also, it might be that they have told someone they have a fake when in fact it is original and that person has destroyed what might've been a good piece.
