Good evening, please have a look at this Eisernes kreuz by 65 (Klein & Quenzer).

I want to buy it and I believe this one to be original in good condition except for a bit of paint flaking off at the reverse.

I have compared with known originals and feel 99.9% confident its good

    Thanks for looking.
    Nico

    Hi Nico
It looks like a good Klein & Quenzer (65) to me after comparing it to mine, but I would wait for other opinions as well. My passion is more in the Imperial EK's than TR, although I have a few of them in my collection.

For you to compare. K&Q are very nice crosses indeed.

    Hello Nico,
You can compare to my unmarked examples.
Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse, Unmarked 65, K&Q Einzelspange
Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse, Unmarked K&Q
Eisernes Kreuz 2nd Klasse for discussion
    EK2, Maker 65, Klein & Quenzer, unmarked.

And the one awarded to my father.

You also need to realize that there are about 12 accepted cores for K&Q crosses.

Thank you for the replies everyone.

Ralph that is amazing that there are so many different cores for one maker!

The one awarded to your Father is a beautiful cross, lots of respect for his bravery.

Like to add my thanks here as well Ralph for adding the photo of the many core types. One could start a sub collection of K&Q crosses. Mmmm that might side track me a bit.

I should have given credit where it is due, this was originally posted here on the forum by Adrian, the previous Moderator of this section.
