Hello and welcome to the forum!
Please check the ribbon ring for stamps. Many of the makers stamped the rings with their mark. If it is not stamped, do not worry, it may still be original. If you can, remove the sticker over the swastika and take some more photos, straight on front and reverse as sometimes there are details of the swastika that will identify the maker.

    Hello Marga,
    Welcome to the forum.
Ralph has given you some really good advice but there are a few things you can check yourself.
Grab a fridge magnet and see if the black core is magnetic.
The ribbon looks to be period but could be a later addition.

Are the two silvered frames soldered together?

Is there a number stamp on the small jump ring that the ribbon ring goes through?

    Cheers
    Doug

    Hello Doug,

    thanks for your reply!

    Yes, the centre is magnetic.

No, the two parts are not soldered together, they are just one consistent frame.

No, unfortunately there is no number stamp on the ring. Is that bad?

    Best regards
    Marga

Sorry, in fact, the two silvered frames are soldered together.

    Hello Marga,
I thought the frames would have been soldered together.

As Ralph mentioned in his post there are lots of original crosses that do not have a number stamped on the ribbon ring. What it does mean though is a lot more research to see if you can find a match to the detail on the numbers and on the bead pattern.
It will take you some time.

There are some chaps who may be able to point you towards the correct maker but I'm not one of them as I don't have time at the moment.
My first impression is it could be made by Anton Schenkl.

All the best and good hunting

As I said before, there are details in the date, frame beading and possibly the swastika that can be used to identify the maker. Please post some new photos straight on from the front and reverse without the tape and someone should be able to identify the maker.
    Ralph.

IMO a nice worn '109' - Walter & Henlein, good find.
