Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse Unknown Maker

I have been eyeing this cross for a while. I have been trying to identify the maker, but have come up blank. This one has noticeably rounded inner corners, and a very large 8, on the reverse date. If anyone recognizes this cross, I would love to hear ideas.

I snagged it. Didn't doubt it's authenticity, but just could not identify the maker and I didn't want to add duplicates to my collection ( I already have too many EKs as it is). Sure looks nice in my display case.
