    As new member here, I would like to post 2 hand frosted Eisernes Kreutze: a Juncker and an unmarked 55 with an orange ribbon. Can somebody tell if there are other makers that have hand frosted crosses?

    What do you mean Doctoru when you write "hand frosted"? Because all the crosses were hand frosted, only some with the help of (probably) a stencil and others not.

    Of course, there could be different techniques. The entire frame was covered with frost and then the frame border was removed and polished.

    After 80 years of frost wear, it is difficult and unambiguous to determine which technique a particular manufacturer worked with. There are few crosses in each manufacturer's mint condition. We can only guess that W&L, for example, did it with a brush, but can we be sure?

    I refere at this exactly type of bead frosting (white) as I seen it only in this type of Juncker with W&L core and in some Hammer&Sohne unmarked pieces. Of course, I saw this name on other collectors as well. 1939 Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse Juncker Crunch Bead with Hand Frosted Frame

    Nice EK2 - I'm assuming it's an early piece judging by the ribbon's red/orange tint, indicative of early war EKs...
