Here is a Iron Cross I have an opportunity to purchase. Looks real maker mark 20. Three layer construction. But I have read most Iron Crosses had a wider pin.
Need assistance fast since I am supposed to do the transaction on Sat.

Hi groserm,
Both crosses are good, genuine wartime crosses.
The first is a standard '20' marked Zimmermann, and the pin is typical of this maker.
The second is an early unmarked Deumer with a Zimmermann style pin, more than likely this is copper plated ferrous core as opposed to a solid brass core (common among these pieces).
Can't tell you much about the EK2 from that picture alone.
Regards - Danny
Both look good to me too. Danny's the "EK master",what he don't know ain't worth knowing IMO. Stewy S

Thanks Danny, Stewy, jdubbel, Nick.
I wish I found this site a month ago. I am new at collecting. Made some big mistakes. Stewy helped me from making a big one the other day. Finally got some books on collecting WW2 militaria. But it is nice being able to get infomation from knowledgeable collectors as yourselfs.
Thanks,
Rick
