    Default 'K&Q' EKII for review.........

Hi all ! - I have a chance to pick up this EKII marked '65' for Klein & Quenzer.
Thought might post it here to see what everyone thought about it.

Already have an original envelope and unused ribbon, and need a Cross
without it's ribbon to complete the set. Should I hold out for a better
or mint example with more 'frosting'.........?

well... i really like this cross. so i don't want to speak against it. i like the finish. to my eye it has a great look.

however, if i were doing the same thing you are? looking for a K&Q to complement an unissued ribbon and packet? I'd go for a minty cross.

    still, i like this one.

if you're the kind of guy that likes multiple examples of everything, get this one and get the other when it pops up.

just what i would do and i'm not you. but i'm just throwing it out there since you asked.

Personally I like it! It's up to you Steve, what do you want? Minty or bin there! If it were up to me my quest would end here!

    Regards, Ned.

I guess you both like it ! - I'm also into the idea of buying
another one later - which I hadn't really considered
until now. This would cost me $90.........

Id buy this cross and buy a minty cross to go with it. When in doubt buy all you can

I had the same problem. I ended up buying a minty set, then got my hands on a slightly used envelope and found a cross and ribbon to match the envelope. I guess it would depend on what they are asking for this cross and what you have saved. I like this cross either way.

Looks sharp! It's got the patina if you like that. Personally, I like good patina but frosting is hard to beat. It's a gorgeous cross, Steve.

You have to decide, Steve. K&Q crosses aren't hard to find.
