I'm not well up on all the various intricacies of S&L RKs with the various frames and core and markings but I would give it a cautious thumbs up from my limited knowledge.
Hopefully someone else will see this and be able to offer more, if not I will compare to others later on today.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

Thanks for the answer. I'll wait, maybe someone will write more

I can only provide information that, according to experts from Ritterkreuz from WAF, it is S&L (935, [4]) variant B.

Yes, it is an B frame, later ones had die flaws which the example above does not have. Now I can see it on a bigger screen, I like it more. It matches known and accepted wartime manufacturing. The ribbon suggests it was issued and worn but obviously there's no guarantee the ribbon and RK started out together.

About this ribbon, I am not worrying, the first what important, the original ribbon. That's enough.
Because I saw many times the ribbons were sold by many shops.
I see ring for ribbon, has the same patina like the Cross. I like this.
I am worrying about corner of paw
