Schickle EKII Prinzen Spange?

Picked up a small lot of badges and awards, which I believe were veteran bringbacks but have no way of confirming that. Everything else in the group was good to go but I have no experience with spanges so figured I'd solicit feedback from you fine gentlemen.

Missing the top prong. Unmarked, small "prinzen" size. Looks more like a Schickle than a Deumer to me but I'm not experienced with these.

Thoughts?

What was the point of the prinzen sized spanges?
