Armistice day, Remebrance day, Veteran's day.
A day to remember those who gave all in "The Great War". I wasn't there... but I can only imagine the insanity of it all. Men ordered to run out of their trenches straight into machine gun fire, and that they complied... Intensely deadly battles over small pieces of ground, objectives never even achieved or if they were, lost again soon afterwards. Men and horses drowning in rain filled shell craters. Gas. WHY? These kinds of actions are in fact our crowning achievements, it's very sad... and so much more so for the people who lost loved ones.
Barely 20 years after Armistice day, WWII.
Here's a picture of the poppies around the Tower of London, each representing a soldier who didn't come back. 888,426 of them.
It's good to remember.

War is when being insane is being normal.
