The surrounding woods are still full of shell holes and trenches, but parts are still off limits due to the danger from unexploded ordnance. Stretches of the tunnels are also open to the public.
I hope it is ok but I am going to add a few of my Vimy Memorial items. Two of them were given to the 1936 Pilgrimage members. In 1936 6200 Canadian Veterans and members of the Canadian Legion traveled from Montreal to Vimy for the opening of the Memorial. The last one was a medal given out to donating of money to the Vimy foundation in 2017. There is another strike of the 1936 medal and I am always looking out for a Pilgrimage Legion cap but I have only seen a couple of them before.
