L’Anneau de la Mémoire is a World War I memorial in Ablain-Saint-Nazaire, France.
It opened 100 years after the war started, in 2014.
Shaped like a big ring, absolutely huge, it's called the "Ring of Remembrance".
It's a International memorial, it has the names of 580,000 who died between 1914-1918. Yes, 580,000.
The names are in alphabetical order, without any distinction between nationality, ranking, gender or religion.
Its original architecture, overhanging the hill, is the creation of Philippe Prost.
The concrete ring has a circumference of 345 metres, with 56 metres suspended above the ground.
