    I hope you enjoy your stay , if you have not been here before you will find it quite a laid back city. There is also a fine Norman Anglican cathederal , a "newer"(120 years or so) Roman catholic cathederal ,medieval "outer city wall and towers and a fine medieval street called Elm hill! Leon.

    Clisson is a small town, south of Nantes. It was destroyed during the revolution wars and rebuilt totally in Italian style : houses, church, statues and one via Appia.

    This is the mighty fortress of São Julião da Barra.
    Located in Oeiras and built in the XVI century, it was later sieged by the forces of Filipe II and the command decided to surrender in order not have it destroyed.
    During the French invasions, it was the last line of resistance.

    This is fort São João das Maias
    Its located in Oeiras and was built in 1644.
    Sadly, its outer walls are being constantly vandalized by delinquents, since they built the fitness walk.
