Spitfire 944
A friend today sent me a link to an interesting documentary on Youtube. The gentlman who made it used old 8 mm film his uncle had shot while stationed at an airbase in England. The film was found after the uncle's death. On one of the films, a USAAF marked Spitfire is shown making a wheels up crash landing at the field. The documentary maker decided to see if he could locate the pilot of the plane by using the plane's serial number. It is a very interesting watch. Here is the link:
