Default An Untouched ДОТ - Sevastopol

These ДОT: in English; DOT(s) belonged to the multiple lines of forts, bunkers, and pillboxes that made up the rings of defence outside of FORTRESS SEVASTOPOL

The "Фашистские Захватчики" had a really tough time cracking these small, but tough defences during the beginning stages of the siege.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------

Anyhow, this particular one still overlooks the road that leads to the small beach (rest) town of "Aloofka" (ask my wife how to spell/pronounce it correctly ), which is located a short few KMs outside of the city...

Nothing exciting really, but cool in any case...

DOT is Doulgovryemennaya Ougneewaya Touchka ( I've try right spelling in transcription), which is translated as Longtime Firing Nest
The Aloofka is a ALoopka right spelling

Thanks for the clarification on the DOT!

However, Алупка - Alupka (Aloopka) is on the south-western coast of Crimea. The small town of Орловка - Orlovka (my translation-prounciation of that name earlier was pitiful! ) is about 15 kilometers outside the city limits...

Von Manstein had a very difficult time there also.
