British WWII Airborne Battledress Jackets

Three Para Jackets and berets. The officers one is for the 7th. Bn (Somerset Light Infantry), dated 1943 beret dated 1943. 7th. Para Bn. first to drop on D Day, tasked to relieve Ox and Bucks on Pegasus bridge.

REME jacket and beret dated 1944.

My great friend John " Monty " Montgomery was A Company 7 Bn , he was very proud of that green patch behind the beret badge , do you have any info on the owner of your battledress ?

Sorry Paul, I have no info on original owner of the jacket. Only clue is I found a MID. oak leaf in one pocket.

Their CO. Pine-Coffin is a distant relative of mine. John

Have you got the Tale of two bridges based on Pine-Coffins diary and written by his son Peter ?
