    Three Para Jackets and berets. The officers one is for the 7th. Bn (Somerset Light Infantry), dated 1943 beret dated 1943. 7th. Para Bn. first to drop on D Day, tasked to relieve Ox and Bucks on Pegasus bridge.

    REME jacket and beret dated 1944.

    Mate i love the 7Bn Battledress and beret My great friend John " Monty " Montgomery was A Company 7 Bn , he was very proud of that green patch behind the beret badge , do you have any info on the owner of your battledress ?

    Sorry Paul, I have no info on original owner of the jacket. Only clue is I found a MID. oak leaf in one pocket.

    Their CO. Pine-Coffin is a distant relative of mine. John

    What a great name it is for a soldier " Pine-Coffin " , Cornish i beleive ??

    Have you got the Tale of two bridges based on Pine-Coffins diary and written by his son Peter ?
