Looks nice but the pic is a little on the small side
It appears to be a good WWII Ike jacket. The patch looks good. Did it ever have an airborne tab ?
Collar brass looks fine from what I can tell, rolled edge WWII style.
Look at the left side ( if you were wearing it ) above the pocket where the ribbons are and see if there are any traces of an oval being there and holes for the jump or glider wings. I have seen some glider troops jackets that did not use the airborne tabs.
There should be a date tag in the inside right pocket
I do not think the ribbon bar is original to the tunic. The European campaign ribbon does not have any stars on it.
The only issues about the condition as you have already pointed out with your photos are the missing button and elbow sleeve patch. Which in my mind aren't anything to be concerned about.
Hope I have helped some.

Hey SteveR ,
thanks for your time and analyse.Your help is appreciated.
There is a tag in the right pocket, but the date isn't clear anymore.
The uniforme was attibuated to a vet, who got wounded in the Netherlands and was member of the 907 glider field artillery battalion of the 101 A.D.
No traces of the glider wings appear on the uniforme.

Hi Kris, I think Steve has covered all the details about it.
I once owned an Officers shirt, 20 years ago now. It came from a second hand clothes store for £4 and this also never had the Airborne tab.
Cheers, Ade.
hey Ade,
thanks for the reply.
I payed ...slightly more, but I am happy never the less!! ;-)

That explains there not being an airborne tab.
PM me with your address and I will send you a button for your jacket front.
It is great you have the mans history. To me that makes it a lot nicer piece.
There should be a purple heart ribbon, European compaign ribbon with at least 1 campaign bronze star on it, an American campaign ribbon. The victory ribbon and good conduct ribbon are optional.
Here is an airborne set with the top bronze star ribbon. the lower ribbons are from left to right. The purple heart European compaign ribbon with 3 stars and the American compaign ribbon.
