Pretty certain this is a copy. See another recent thread on what looks to be an identical example.

A fake sorry. See how the left side shroud lines converge onto the middle line? Not good.

    Cheers, Ade.

I thought it was a good 'un as it didnt have the die flaw on the left wing...So thats two more things to check out.It does seem rather worn like its been used...
Im guessing there are alot of repro airborne badges about?
How about a hall of shame?

    Thanks all the same guys.

Sadly there are more than one type of fake around due to different people making them.

    Cheers, Ade.

Hi John, perhaps I was being a bit general there. I don't like to see it on what purports to be an issue badge.

Yours is a private purchase badge, voided crown etc.

    Cheers, Ade.

I believe it to be an original badge and this is how shroudlines are mostly found.
Below is a replica from ebay seller greybear that is almost the same as the one in #1 but it shows less detail.

I know this is an old thread but there has a been a recent big thread on the British badge forum about this type, with many split opinions and there is a fine line between very similar versions of which some are good and some are not.

Certainly a version that divides opinions it seems.
