I have now merged the two threads started on this outfit, both started on the same day in two sub sections within half an hour of each other.
I feel the lack of politeness and the posting of the same thread twice is pushing it a bit, repeat offending will be noted and acted on.

Note that the light bulb badge on the lower arm was, how shall I put it, hardly likely to be worn by glider pilots.
Absolutely spot on! I was too busy looking at the other stuff and to my shame did not notice that! The so called "light bulb" badge is for personell who have undergone basic parachute training but not the pre-selection course for Parachute troops and are not employed in airborne units. The purpose is to create a pool of specialists who could be deployed by parachute if required. So as stated that would not apply to glider regiment pilots. Not impossible if the badge was earned earlier but highly unlikely given the fairly short timeframe in which all of this history occurred.
