    Default IS this item a RAF nightsight

    I have had this item for sometime, and have wondered what it is, what it would have been used in and the period it was manufactured.I think it must be sone kind of night sight as leather cover says always cover lenses in dayliht.body ofistrument is brass, with two leather lens caps, held on with RAF strap, and merked with RAF partno 5c/2802, one lens is red the othet clear.Apart from the lense cover I can see no other marks, any help cheers Nathan
