Default Lancaster Bomb Release Trigger Button 5D/534

I was interested to get my hands on this new old stock specimen, it's a trigger button (Air Ministry 5D/534) assembly with a female plug (Air Ministry 5C/457), minus the locking ring.
Apparently the 5D/534 button was used as a bomb release mechanism in a number of WW2 bombers (Lancaster etc), plus for different applications in other aircraft.
Tested it with a multimeter on resistance mode and sure enough it still works fine.
Interestingly the button housing is quite small (one inch overall) but it takes a huge force to depress the button, which makes sense when you want to avoid accidental triggering.

Yes, these are quite common but even so, an iconic addition to any WW2 airwar/Bomber Command collection
