    Hi guys,

Sorry for my english, I'm french and I use "Google Traduction"...

I found these relics on the crash site of an Avro Lancaster in France (Franche-Comté). Can you identify the two relics on the right?

    Serial number: RA5363

    Gearing?

    Thank's you!

The larger item top right is I believe the Merlin engine oil pump, there should be a brass nomenclature plate on it under the corrosion, I have one just like it from a NF Mosquito. The other at a guess looks like a non return valve for the vacuum system?

I believe the large item at top right may be the propeller constant speed unit (CSU).

    Kind regards, Malcolm.

Largest item is definitely a propeller constant speed unit / governor, as Malcolm stated. Centre grey item is a battery terminal post and will be lead. The cylinder onbject looks to be some sort of in-line oil seperator. Cog probably engine related - looks familiar, but can't quite place it - supercharger gearing?

What's the story re the aircraft please?
