Allgemeines Sturmabzeichen unmarked

Hi guys.

I have this Allgemeines Sturmabzeichen that is unmarked. I took the best pictures that I could. Unfortunately, the front of the badge has a little bit of a golden patina, doesn't look bad in person but hard to take pictures. Maybe age and a little bit of smoke tar. I wish I knew how to clean it but am afraid of damaging it further. Any help on maker is appreciated. Thanks! -Rose

I think and it's only a guess, that it could be an unknown maker, possibly Werstein.

No worries, I saw another with the same reverse set up that was described as possibly Werstein.
Don't clean it or you may end up damaging the fragile finish. Some badges do tone to a golden colour over time, I'd leave it just how it is.

Thanks again Adrian, I'm glad to know that. I used to smoke, but I never did in the room these were kept nor near it, so I was afraid it could've been a possibility, although very unlikely.
