This is a bit of a stab in the dark but 1. looks like a water pump to me. 2. The tangled mess on the right, could that be HT leads for spark/glow plugs? 7. Could be a belt tensioner perhaps.
Also, if the break shoes you talk about are one of the ‘still bagged’ items and are in good condition, I would strongly suggest you go back and dig them up again.
If it turns out to be some kind of military vehicle, then if usable, those shoes could be worth a few bob.
