Cartridge ID

Article about: Found these along with a lot of british .303 and german 7.92. At first glance i thought they were 7.92x57 but these are a bit shorter. Any idea what these are?

    From the headstamps in the top picture the left one appears to be a FN 7.65x53 Mauser case and the other one is a 7.5x54 French case...........Pete.

    Thanks
    Just measured them.
    Both are 54 in length but also 7.92 in diameter.
    That's what got me wondering.

    Hi,the case would have to expand on firing to release the bullet that`s why it is now larger....Pete.

    What are the HS`s on the " others " if early 8mm cases they could have been loaded with .318 bullets rather than .323 bullets.show a picture of them....P

    Here are a couple of them which i also found at the same spot.
    They all measure 8mm.
    I'm kinda confused now, lol.

    Your last picture from L-R are German,Polish,German,Polish,that`s a real mix of cases you found.
