Hi there,
Can you provide some more details of where exactly this exhaust tube found in Leros ? For example : was this the only relic on site of the PW 1830 or the C-47 , or there are more?
Perhaps this tube was removed after the war from a damaged or destroyed a/c in the nearby island of Kos, where RAF Dakotas operated during the September - October 1943 period and used by local people in Leros as "tool" for agricultural use and after some years it just was discarded to the fields as useless scrap.
Anyway, it is very difficult to "match" this tube with the plane by using only the P/N and S/N of this spare part.
Cheers ,
John
