    way I'll get to own WWI relics of this nature, as I cannot go there
    and dig them myself.........

    Nice relic. Unmistakable Enfield rifle part. I would venture to say, that if you found different relics all of the very tip of different rifles, that one would be the one easiest to reqognize.
    A very good looking rifle IMO.

    not the seller himself has dug that up... A friend of mine did.
    Most of the items he sells are from the Somme area (NOT Cambrai or Vimy as the sometimes claims).

    Anyway, not such a rare find in Flandres as well... Have a couple of these kicking about the place :-)
