Excavated WWI Enfield Rifle Part.........

I purchased this about a year ago off Ebay from a seller in England. The description said
it was either British or Canadian, and was recovered from the Somme. Likely the only
way I'll get to own WWI relics of this nature, as I cannot go there
and dig them myself.........

Nice relic. Unmistakable Enfield rifle part. I would venture to say, that if you found different relics all of the very tip of different rifles, that one would be the one easiest to reqognize.
A very good looking rifle IMO.

not the seller himself has dug that up... A friend of mine did.
Most of the items he sells are from the Somme area (NOT Cambrai or Vimy as the sometimes claims).

Anyway, not such a rare find in Flandres as well... Have a couple of these kicking about the place :-)
