Default Japanese tank type found in Indonesia

I just returned from a family vacation in Indonesia and during our travels in the rural and mountainous area of Batu ...on the way out going through Malang ...I just happened to see a tank that appears to be a Japanese tank and I would greatly appreciate the Armor Gents if they could further identify this type of Tank.

Indonesia had been occupied by the Japanese during WW2.

I don't know what country it belonged to, but it is great to see that it is taken care of and proacted from the elements. I hope someone will chime in who knows.

Will stick my neck out and suggest it's a Type 1 Chi-He tank.

Looks like it though I'm not a wartime armour buff (all my training in AFV recognition was based on NATO / Warsaw Pact stuff) but the gun mantlet looks odd or maybe missing. Maybe the gun in this preserved item is a "mock-up"?

Based on some early research (I still need to check some more armor references) This may be a Type 97 Chi Ha Japanese Medium Tank captured and used by the Indonesian Revolutionary Army used near the end of WW2 as the Japanese were withdrawing from Indonesia.

The main gun has most likely been removed and replaced with something similar as well as the radio antenna making it more difficult to properly identify..

However, I believe this may be the Type 97 (with modifications)
