Article about: Nice ground dug find, a MG17 Flash Suppressor in relic condition. Made by "Rheinmetall Borsig" in 1934, this suppressor would have been fitted to most Luftwafe aircraft. No marking

    Nice ground dug find, a MG17 Flash Suppressor in relic condition.

    Made by "Rheinmetall Borsig" in 1934, this suppressor would have been fitted to most Luftwaffe aircraft.

    In this relic state, the pitting has taken hold..

    After a good clean up and de-rusting, the damage the rust has done, becomes apparent.

    Certainly no stamps or markings that I can see.

    Well, after years of being in the ground?

    I think it needed an easier job..

    Now a nice little desk pen holder

    Might paint it yet.. not sure.
