Hold up KIMO SABI, tell the truth, what did I say in my pm, hmmmm, something about not being from a Spit or Hurri, something about twin engined hmmmm, what other aircraft with twin props and merlin engines used to fly from RAF bases hmmmmm, I think Ive acquited myself and i need say anymore on the subject, i thankyou
I thought it was too.Mosquito exhaust skate ramps are quite common down here.Didnt want to mention it before .....should have said something i suppose
Davejb - I take it back. You did indeed mention twin engined aircraft. I should have known you meant a Mosquito and not a Boston, Blenheim, B25, Whitley, Whirlwind, Hampden, Lightning, Wellington, Marauder, Albemarle, Oxford, anson, Beaufighter, Beuafort, Manchester, Invader, C-47, Baltimore, Maryland, Black Widow or Welkin. My apologies.
CB - Har har har ! (git)

I bet its taken you absolutely ages to work through all that lot and check what had the merlins HEHEHE, BUT, AND I MEAN BUT, i did also say flew from that base and you said you didnt know, but im glad you had to work a bit harder, so out of that lot how many of them flew from there
and how many of them had merlins
Good One.
